An expert/person in my field that I admire I think that in the short time I have been studying, I have not yet found a reference that causes me admiration, however I want to highlight an iconic woman in the chemical area, Marie Curie. Why pharmaceutical chemistry can make the world a better place? I would like to start by asking: what would the control or prevention of any diseases be without having medicines available?  The pharmaceutical chemist is te health professional expert in medicines, trained the inform and advice the community and the others health professionals, in an ethical and rigorous manner, on the rational use of medicines, in addition to participating in the formulation and dispensing of medicines. Their role is of great importance, as the world and society cannot move forward in the presence of disease and global ill health. Their contribution to the world is fundamental on a daily basis, an excellent example is how they have contributed to the creation of vaccines for the control of the current Covid-19 pandemic. A photo and its story This picture, or rather, what is in it is very important to me, it is a picture of Cristobal, my nephew, on his 11th birthday with his cat "Wilson" in his arms. The story of this picture is very special, my nephew since he was very young has loved animals, especially cats, he had long wanted to adopt one, but for space issues did not allow it, this year he asked many times to adopt one and for his birthday I looked for a kitten for him (because I had to give him the pleasure haha) and that made him very happy. It means a lot cause he is the most important person for me, he is like a little brother and the best company always hahaha. In the picture you can see how happy he was that day, for turning over a decade and for his new pet and seeing him like that makes me so happy.

 What is my favorite food? This is not a very difficult decision for me, no doubt zucchini is my favorite food, I like it in all its forms, it can be stuffed zucchini, zucchini stew, sautéed with other vegetables, but my favorite dish by far is zucchini fettuccini with champignon cream. I like it because it is very healthy, vegetarian and it is also very easy to prepare, just cut the zucchini into thin strips and cook it, cook the mushrooms and add cream and cheese, then serve and ready, it's amazing. In general I'm very fussy about food, I'm not vegetarian but I try to eat as little meat as possible, I also don't like dough, I avoid eating anything with dough, however there are other kinds of food that I like a lot such as sushi and French fries (I don't like sweet food haha). As for my health, I consider that I take care of it a lot, my meals are mainly vegetable based and I try to avoid eating fried food and food with a lot of sugar or very processed.

 What is my favorite piece of technology? I found it very difficult to choose one piece of technology as my favorite since I like them all, however, there is one piece of technology that I consider too essential in my day to day life and that is my cell phone, it is my favorite because I can do the same with it as with a laptop, it is very comfortable and I can take it anywhere. The truth is a device that I use most of the day, mainly to use social networks, talk to my friends and family, also to find out about things at the university, to studying, search for information, playing games, to listen to music, watching movies, etc. For me it is a tool that can not miss, if I recommend using it as it has too many functions, however you have to be very careful to generate dependence on it, it has happened to me and sometimes I stay too long using the cell phone and I stop doing more important things haha ☹.

 Why did I choose pharmaceutical chemistry? Since I was a child I was very interested in health sciences, I always said I wanted to be a doctor, I played every day to be a doctor with my dad haha, then when I was older I began to be interested in mathematics and sciences such as chemistry and biology. When I had to decide for a career I had many options, my priority was still medicine, but I liked other careers such as pharmaceutical chemistry, architecture, obstetrics and chemical civil engineering (very differents haha). When the PSU results came out I realized that I had gotten a good result, but it was not enough to get into medicine, so I started to find out about my options and I realized that the chemistry and pharmacy career field interested me a lot and I decided to apply. Hi, this is me. I introduce myself; my name is Constanza, but everyone calls me Coni, I´m 18 years old and my birthday is on June 3rd. I´m in my third semester of pharmaceutical chemistry at University of Chile. I was born in Santiago, Chile, and I live in Estación Central. I live only with my mom, but I have an older brother who is 26 years old. I love spending time with my family and friends, especially my nephew. I have 4 pets but the most special one is my cat named Rusio. I really like to do exercise and my favorite sport is handball. I love to listen to music, my favorite artist is The Weeknd, I also like watching series and reading. As far as food is concerned, I'm a very fussy person, I haven't eaten doughs for more than 2 years and my favorite food is zucchini's fettuccine and sushi.
