Changes to my study programme

I think the chemistry and pharmacy program of study at FACIQYF is quite complete, I think it covers everything necessary to understand the more complex subjects that are presented throughout the career.

However, I have compared the curriculum of the University of Chile with that of other universities and I believe that here the load is greater, I mean, more subjects per semester and greater difficulty in the evaluations. Although I think it may be beneficial in the future, at present it generates a lot of stress in the students.

As for the facilities of the faculty, I don't have many objections, I think that although it’s not as big as others, it’s very good for the number of students, the rooms are spacious and the laboratories are very well formed, something that I would like would be to have more green areas, I think that those that exist are few in relation to the people who go to the faculty.

Regarding the teaching I think it is very good, in the faculty there are admirable academics who have a lot of knowledge, although almost all have different ways of teaching, I think that in general it turns out to be very good.

Unfortunately I still don’t have the possibility of having classes completely face to face (pandemic generation jajaj), so I don’t have much idea of how are the classes in this mode, I think that in online mode, despite being something very new for most, it has been carried correctly, anyway personally it has been somewhat difficult because some university platforms sometimes fail or there are crashes in the internet and that has been quite detrimental to the classes and study.

Hi, this is me. I introduce myself; my name is Constanza, but everyone calls me Coni, I´m 18 years old and my birthday is on June 3rd. I´m in my third semester of pharmaceutical chemistry at University of Chile. An expert/person in my field that I admire I think that in the short time I have been studying, I have not yet found a reference that causes me admiration, however I want to highlight an iconic woman in the chemical area, Marie Curie. She was a Polish scientist and naturalized French citizen , a pioneer in the field of reactivity, the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize, she received the Nobel Prize in chemistry for the discovery of two new chemical elements and the Nobel Prize in physics for her work on radiation. I consider her an admirable person because at that time, at the beginning of the 20th century, to be a scientist, academic or researcher was practically impossible, in her country women could not access higher education, and despite that, in what I consider an act of female empowerment, she went to France and managed to study at the university, demonstrating to have the same and better capabilities than men in the same area, and being recognized worldwide for her achievemen

 What is my favorite food? This is not a very difficult decision for me, no doubt zucchini is my favorite food, I like it in all its forms, it can be stuffed zucchini, zucchini stew, sautéed with other vegetables, but my favorite dish by far is zucchini fettuccini with champignon cream. I like it because it is very healthy, vegetarian and it is also very easy to prepare, just cut the zucchini into thin strips and cook it, cook the mushrooms and add cream and cheese, then serve and ready, it's amazing. In general I'm very fussy about food, I'm not vegetarian but I try to eat as little meat as possible, I also don't like dough, I avoid eating anything with dough, however there are other kinds of food that I like a lot such as sushi and French fries (I don't like sweet food haha). As for my health, I consider that I take care of it a lot, my meals are mainly vegetable based and I try to avoid eating fried food and food with a lot of sugar or very processed.
