English language challenges

My experience learning English at the university has been very enjoyable, at school I didn't like the subject because I thought the way of teaching the language was boring, but at the university I feel that it has been with a different approach and with other types of activities that have made me like the language again.

The use of blogs has helped me a lot to be able to develop ideas or opinions in English more easily, to realize that I can write better and better in another language.

I think that my English pronunciation has improved a lot over time, but I feel that I still have a lot of things to improve, such as the conjugation of verbs, I find it difficult to differentiate between futures and similar aspects.

In order to improve I think it is very good to write and corroborate what I write with someone who knows the language well, also speaking it when I can or listening to music and watching movies and series in English with subtitles.

As I said, I use English both recreationally and for university activities. I use it when watching movies or listening to music that is in English, I like to know what the songs I listen to say. Academically I have used it in several subjects, some professors give us material that is in English, and the truth is that I find it easier and faster to study it without the need of a translator or someone to help me. The English course has been a great help in this university period.

Hi, this is me. I introduce myself; my name is Constanza, but everyone calls me Coni, I´m 18 years old and my birthday is on June 3rd. I´m in my third semester of pharmaceutical chemistry at University of Chile. I was born in Santiago, Chile, and I live in Estación Central. I live only with my mom, but I have an older brother who is 26 years old. I love spending time with my family and friends, especially my nephew. I have 4 pets but the most special one is my cat named Rusio. I love to listen to music, my favorite artist is The Weeknd, I also like watching series and reading. As far as food is concerned, I'm a very fussy person, I haven't eaten doughs for more than 2 years and my favorite food is zucchini's fettuccine and sushi. An expert/person in my field that I admire I think that in the short time I have been studying, I have not yet found a reference that causes me admiration, however I want to highlight an iconic woman in the chemical area, Marie Curie. She was a Polish scientist and naturalized French citizen , a pioneer in the field of reactivity, the first woman to receive a Nobel Prize, she received the Nobel Prize in chemistry for the discovery of two new chemical elements and the Nobel Prize in physics for her work on radiation. I consider her an admirable person because at that time, at the beginning of the 20th century, to be a scientist, academic or researcher was practically impossible, in her country women could not access higher education, and despite that, in what I consider an act of female empowerment, she went to France and managed to study at the university, demonstrating to have the same and better capabilities than men in the same area, and being recognized worldwide for her achievemen

 What is my favorite food? This is not a very difficult decision for me, no doubt zucchini is my favorite food, I like it in all its forms, it can be stuffed zucchini, zucchini stew, sautéed with other vegetables, but my favorite dish by far is zucchini fettuccini with champignon cream. I like it because it is very healthy, vegetarian and it is also very easy to prepare, just cut the zucchini into thin strips and cook it, cook the mushrooms and add cream and cheese, then serve and ready, it's amazing. In general I'm very fussy about food, I'm not vegetarian but I try to eat as little meat as possible, I also don't like dough, I avoid eating anything with dough, however there are other kinds of food that I like a lot such as sushi and French fries (I don't like sweet food haha). As for my health, I consider that I take care of it a lot, my meals are mainly vegetable based and I try to avoid eating fried food and food with a lot of sugar or very processed.
